Mr. David Cook has over 20 years of experience in the railway industry. He has held various engineering leadership positions at CN, where he led large design and construction teams and managed major capital projects across a territory covering more than 6,000 kilometers of track. His work included capacity expansion, grade separation construction, and the modernization of rail yards, as well as strategic planning and business management for these projects.

 

From 2020 to 2024, David served as Technical Director and Project Manager for QMOT, a joint venture between AECOM and Arup, providing consulting engineering services for the VIA HFR project. More recently, David officially joined the Alto team as Vice President – Systems and Interfaces.
